Course Description: 

Race starts times: Full marathon 7:00am, Half- 7:15 am,  5k/10k - 7:30am

Very spectator friendly mostly flat, two loop Full marathon course is a Certified Boston Qualifier course (certification #CA13121RS).  Half Marathon, 5k and 10k distances available too.  Start / Finish will be at beautiful Ventura Ocean front boardwalk adjacent to Surfers Point beach. 

Runners will enjoy Ventura Ocean front boardwalk, Historical Old Rincon HWY and the gentle sloping Visa Del Mar ridge with incredible views that make every step worth the effort along the way.  Biggest climb is 46 feet along Vista Del Mar.  Aid stations every 1.5 miles


Weekend warriors / Beginners / walkers:

Yes, very walker friendly course, mostly flat, plenty of aid stations, and loads of fun! Generous 7:00 hour time limit for the marathon so take your time and enjoy the scenery, all levels of fitness are welcome at our events.

Middle of the pack runners:
This course has something for everyone, lots of flat ocean front miles to keep you cool and a the gradual medium size hill at Vista Del Mar to keep things fun.

Elite and Advanced runners:
This mostly flat two loop course along the Ocean Front is a great way to test your speed. Vista Del Mar ridge is a fun medium size roller for you climbers out there.  Now's your chance to test all your running skills on one course, come join the fun

To ensure a smooth and consistent run, this race has implemented wave starts.

What is a wave start and how does it work?

Wave starts are designed to reduce race start congestion and improve your race day running experience. In a wave start, runners start in groups at 2 minute intervals. This way you can run with others who are similar in speed. A wave start will allow you plenty of space along the course, at the aid stations and at the finish line, without affecting your chip time or the time you have to complete the race. On race day you will line up under / behind the banner that best fits your estimated running pace per mile, see chart below. Click Here

What is Package Pickup?
This is where you pickup your race bib #, timing chip, race day t-shirt, and goody bag. You can also review the race course map and ask race day related questions that you might have. Buy some last minute race day goodies that we may have for sale like custom race even logo sweat shirts, bags, etc. This is your last chance to register for this race.... NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION
           
Can I pickup my Packet on race day?
- Yes but come 60 minutes early because we will have hundreds of people coming to one small area at the same time.

Where do we park on race day? 
The best place to part is at the Crown Plaza parking structure at 450 E Harbor blvd. Ventura CA 93001. $2 per hour and $8 all day. there is limited free street parking near by.  OR - Ventura County fair grounds parking lot.  $5 per day off of Figueroa st. next to the starting line.

Hint: the board walk and hotel eateries will usually validate your parking if you stop by for breakfast, lunch or just a snack
