That's right we are proud to announce that all runners will be awarded a free glass of beer and a plate of street tacos at post race! And yes you can buy more beers for $3 each ( must be 21 or older for the beer) if your under 21 we will have a free Root-beer for you.
Special note: Friends and family can buy food and beer tickets for $3 each.

What is Package Pickup?
This is where you pickup your race bib #, timing chip, race day t-shirt, and goody bag. You can also review the race course map and ask race day related questions that you might have. Buy some last minute race day goodies that we may have for sale like custom race even logo sweat shirts, bags, etc. This is your last chance to register for this race.... NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION
Can I pickup my Packet on race day? -Yes, but come 60 minutes early because we will have hundreds of people coming to one small area at the same time.
Where do we park on race day?
The best place to part is at the Crown Plaza parking structure at 450 E Harbor blvd. Ventura CA 93001. $2 per hour and $10 all day. there is limited free street parking near by.
Hint: the board walk and hotel eateries will usually validate your parking if you stop by for breakfast, lunch or just a snack.

Surfer's Point Marathon
Half Marathon, 5k, 10k
Race Date: Nov 13, 2016
Race starts times: Full marathon 7:00am, Half- 7:15 am, 5k/10k - 7:30am
Very spectator friendly mostly flat, two loop Full marathon course Half Marathon, 5k and 10k distances available too. Start / Finish will be at beautiful Ventura Oceanfront boardwalk adjacent to Surfers Point beach. Certified Boston Qualifier Course
Start / Finish along the beautiful Ventura Beach. Then travel along the bike path onto the Historic Old Rincon Highway along the Ventura Coast line. Miles of Ocean views that will keep you in awe as you stroll to the turn around point and back to the start/finish line. Full marathon is two loops of this course. Aid stations every 1.5 miles.
Weekend warriors / Beginners / walkers:
Yes, very walker friendly course, mostly flat, plenty of aid stations, and loads of fun! Generous 7:00 hour time limit for the Full marathon so take your time and enjoy the scenery, all levels of fitness are welcome at our events.
Middle of the pack runners:
Great course for a new PR (personal record) this year. Mostly flat course, gentle ocean breeze and plenty of room to make your move towards your PR
Elite and Advanced runners:
This mostly flat course along the Historic Old Rincon Highway and a great way to test your speed. Beautiful ocean views, cool temp, fun people and a cold glass of beer after the race.

To ensure a smooth and consistent run, this race has implemented wave starts.
What is a wave start and how does it work?
Wave starts are designed to reduce race start congestion and improve your race day running experience. In a wave start, runners start in groups at 2 minute intervals. This way you can run with others who are similar in speed. A wave start will allow you plenty of space along the course, at the aid stations and at the finish line, without affecting your chip time or the time you have to complete the race. On race day you will line up under / behind the banner that best fits your estimated running pace per mile, see chart below. Click Here
